Start the New Year off with better hearing!

There are a number of social, emotional, and medical signs for hearing loss. If you or a loved one has any of the following symptoms, contact us for a full audiological assessment.

  • If you  find that people are mumbling and/or muffled
  • Difficulty following a conversation with more than two people
  • Trouble communicating with any background noise
  • Frequently ask for repetition
  • Listen to the radio/television at a louder volume than your family and friends

  • Find yourself withdrawing from social situations
  • More tired and stressed at the end of the day from straining to hear conversations
  • Embarrassed you are going to misunderstand what is being said

  • Have a ringing or buzzing sound in one or both of your ears
  • Been exposed to loud sounds or noises (hunting, concerts, mowing the lawn, etc.)
  • Family history of hearing loss
  • If you have diabetes, heart or circulatory problems

If you have any of these symptoms, call or e-mail us to book a full hearing evaluation by one of our certified audiologists.

If you have yet to experience these symptoms, a baseline test is recommended so that we have a record of what your normal is. Everybody should have the baseline completed before the age of 50, once they reach 50 the test should be done every two years to monitor hearing levels. The earlier a hearing loss is recognized, the better success with treatment options.
